In our small producing community are farmers currently located in the departments of Cundinamarca, Boyaca, Nariño and Putumayo over 2200 meters high in the Andes, they receive social and agro-ecological support in their crops to grow Quinoa (soil and water protected). Each signed a Fair Trade agreement with Factoria Quinoa where they can obtain on average a return of 40% to 100% for semi-annual crop cultivation of Quinoa. Farmers are aware that the Fair Trade Quinoa means the best deal for their pocket, water and soil, as well as for the health of themselves and consumers.
“Since we started working with Factoria Quinoa we are happy, we have the collaboration of technicians and experts that are permanently visiting and advising our crop, they are friendly people who make us feel good, and improve the quality of our fields. We expect the company to continue and grow so we can continue planting quinoa, and the arrangement we have gives us the security to plant and know that the purchase of our quinoa is secure, and the best thing is that there are no intermediaries.”
